The Uzbek Silk Velvet Butterfly Dress is constructed from artisanal Uzbek textiles. The textile, also known as an Ikat, is hand loomed and vegetable dyed using heritage techniques from the region. The dress itself is designed and sewn locally in NY. The velvet is non-stretch and the bodice is incorporated with boning for chest support. Black velvet detachable straps are included. This dress is a body skimming style that splits at the hip to reveal a silk underskirt at the hem. 

The fibers are 90% silk, 10% cotton. It is a highly breathable textile suitable for all seasons.

• Please Note: This item is non-stretch and intended for tailoring in or out. 1.5 inches is hidden in the side seams should you need to let it out.
